Have you ever wondered what would happen if all the teams in the NCAA Tournament were replaced with your favorite childhood toys and games? Who hasn't, right? Well, Jethro, your sleepless nights are over ... welcome to The 2004 GoBoilers.com Tournament of Childhood Toys and Games.      Here's how it works: the Tournament Seeding Committee has done the legwork for you in preparing the brackets you see below. As in seeding any bracket, some difficult choices needed to be made. As you compare the Committee's opinion with your own, keep in mind some of the recent headlines from your local paper's sports pages -- Ant Farm lost to SuperJock in the Play-In Game, and Sea Monkeys and Betsy Wetsy remain on post-season tournament probation until 2007 for recruiting violations.      Now, it's your turn. You'll notice that next to each matchup is a pair of radio buttons. Simply click your favorite for each game and submit your list. Each week, the votes will be tallied, winners will advance, and you'll come back the following week to do it all again. As was the case last year, if you would like e-mail notification of the beginning of each new round, submit your email address here. GB.c will delete your email address after the tournament; you need not fear us signing you up for prescription medications, secrets of EBay success, or men or women in another country that really want to meet YOU!      Be sure to take your voting seriously; there are some great matchups ahead. In the East, can any team prepare for the constantly changing game face of Mr. Potato Head? In the Southeast, Battling Tops look to shake up Etch-a-Sketch. In the West, a few upsets could produce a regional final between old rivals Toss Across and Connect Four. And finally, in the Midwest, Bill Walton will be working to avoid his fifth-straight opening-round exit.      Can you vote more than once per week? Sure, selfish. If this little toys & games thing gets you out of bed in the morning, by all means, jump on with both feet. We're happy to be your ray of sunshine. |
