     GI Joe has the last laugh at the expense of the GB.c Selection Show Panel. When Arnie, the show's director, named GI Joe as his pick to come out of the Midwest, Host Tom Morgan ridiculed the pick, as the entire panel had just given the first-round nod to Tinkertoys.

     "We musta ran that clip a hundred times in the locker room," GI Joe said. "Arnie knew we could do it ... and so we knew we could do it. We studied Tinkertoys' game and found a lot of holes."

     When reached for comment, Morgan said, "You mean somebody actually saw the Selection Show? Cool!"

     In a follow-up to an earlier injury report, Super Jock has sustained a mild concussion.

     Two-seeds Cootie and Don't Break the Ice are gone; Don't Break the Ice ran into an infuriated Nerfball team. "There's no way we are a 15 seed. I know people said that we're soft; but you saw us bring the hammer down today," Nerfball said.

     Yahtzee took it to Cootie with a stifling defense. "We thought we'd take our Chances on defense today, and it paid off," Yahtzee said. "We played a strong team defense ... we were like five of a kind. And in the end, there just weren't very many Cootie shots."

     Probably for the first time in Tournament history (we're too lazy to look it up), a first-round region went EXACTLY as seeded. That's right, the top eight seeds are still alive in the Southeast. All bets are off after this round, though, as somebody's almost bound to kick the table over and storm away pouting.
