Doctor ... we've lost him. That's right, the first number one seed died on the table this week when Lincoln Logs cut up Operation. If not for a last-minute spinout by Matchbox Cars, #1 PlayDoh would be in the can as well. Although Kurt Lagoon raved about Operation on the Selection Show, he also very astutely noted that they'd have to deal with those butterflies in the stomach to avoid being lit up and losing at the buzzer. When reached for comment, a stunned Operation said, "Beep ... beep ... beep ... beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep."      On the Selection Show, Dr. Dan Kent said it would be hard for anyone to stand up to Perfection, but Slinky did. Now they move on to face upstart NerfBall in the Sweet Sixteen. Can Slinky put the squeeze on NerfBall, or will it end up all twisted and bent out of shape? Stay tuned.      Round Two was punctuated by a couple of major collapses ... it's the end of the trail for Etch-a-Sketch; late in the game, they got shook up and the whole game plan was gone. And early on for Connect Four, it just seemed that the bottom dropped out.      And for the fifth straight season, the team that beat Walton in the opening round is packing for home in Round Two as Magic 8 Ball squeezed the stuffings out of Fuzzy Pumper Barber Shop. Once again, it proves the old adage, "Just because people like you more than Bill Walton doesn't mean that people like you." |

We were surprised that our effort was good enough to win today ... we thought we were playing Sorry. -- Life      We just couldn't get threes when we needed 'em. -- Yahtzee      Our game plan was to take the ball to the basket ... our scout noticed that because of poor technique, Weebles always picks up a lot of blocking fouls. -- Mr. Potato Head      Did you vote for Lincoln Logs over Operation? What in the world for? Operation, for crying out loud! That game is awesome! Lincoln Logs are OK, but good grief ... better than Operation?! Forget about it! Lincoln Logs didn't even win the Construction Conference -- they finished way behind Legos and lost by 21 AT HOME to Erector Set. I didn't see Operation having that kind of trouble in the Pretend-To-Do-Surgery Conference, did you? You probably voted against Ranch Dip, Nilla Wafers, "Afternoon Delight", and "Whatchu Talkin' 'Bout, Willis" too. Jerk.
